Mr. Bailey – Reading @ MHS

Welcome message

Hi! Welcome to my webpage! My name is Dennis Bailey; I am the seventh grade Reading teacher at Maplewood High School.

A little information about me:  Though at times it is rather demanding and challenging, I truly enjoy teaching Reading. It is exciting for me to help students gain and develop the skills necessary to be competent readers. I have earned undergraduate degrees in Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University and Elementary Education from Edinboro University. I have also earned a Masters of Education/Reading from Edinboro University. I have taught in the PENNCREST School District since 1991.

When not busy with my teaching duties, I enjoy reading and outdoor activities such as hiking, bicycling, kayaking, and gardening. In addition I enjoy learning about Ireland and my Irish heritage, and also rooting for my Pittsburgh teams: the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins, as well as Penn State. Finally, I enjoy attending my church and participating in church-related actvities, and spending as much time as possible with my family.

If you have a need to contact me, please feel free to email me at dbailey@penncrest.org or call me at 337-1673 (Maplewood High School).
