For the second year in a row Maplewood Jr./Sr. High School was named the Most Valuable Player in the national Step Up to the Plate Baseball Trivia Challenge sponsored by the American Library Association and the National Baseball Hall of Fame. We had more entries than any other library! A prize package will be coming!
In addition, three of our own were awarded 1st place prize packages (5 were awarded for each age group). Winners include Justin, Eric and Mrs. Karol McGowan. They will each receive a prize package worth $60. Each package includes: A commemorative hardbound copy of the Hall of Fame Yearbook, A Hall of Fame baseball, a commemorative set of 20 Hall of Fame baseball cards, a copy of a book from the “Sluggers Series” and a pair of youth batting gloves.
